Niagara Movement

Around the early 1900's, there was an association that was created to oppose those people who gave importance to race. These people believed that they needed to stop the unnecessary racial discrimination and formed a group by spreading the word around. A few influential people in the society also joined in the Movement, which gave it more importance. These people met up with each other and discussed the flow of things for the first time near the Niagara Falls. It can be gathered that the discussions of the Niagara Movement were pretty serious because they revolved around changing the course of things in relation to racial discrimination and the members who chose to join in the movement made all possible efforts to get their intentions known. There were many things that were listed on which way the proceedings should go and also the various points on which the Niagara Movement revolved around. But the Niagara Movement lost hold somewhere on the political front because it did not receive enough support that the members had anticipated initially. There were many people who were opposed to this kind of movement due to various reasons. But, in all, one can gauge that it was an important movement in history.
